Discovering & Exploring The Best of Europe

Europe is a vast continent, and there is a lot to see and do. If you are planning to take a tour of Europe, it is a good idea to have some idea of the kinds of things that you can enjoy there, so that you know where you want to go and what you want to do to make the most of your tour of Europe .  You can enjoy a lot of different activities, and some idea of what you want to do will help you match your budget and your itinerary the best way.

Making Your Plans

It is a good idea to invest in a quality travel guide so that you can get reliable and up to date information.  There are lots of travel guides on the market, but they are not all reliable, so try to find one that is produced by a well known publisher.

Once you have your travel guide, take a look at the guide and start plotting your destinations during your tours of Europe. Make sure that your destinations are not too far from each other so that you will be able to save some time and money. If you need to go to places that are far from each other, find some interesting places to visit along the way so that you will not waste too much time. Besides, finding some interesting places to visit while on your way to your ultimate destination will make your trip a lot more interesting.

Once you know where you want to go and what you want to do, you should look in to where you want to stay. Researching a good hotel is especially important if you are on a budget, as the cost of living in Europe can be higher than you may be used to, especially if you are staying in a very popular tourist area.

There are many good hotels and bed and breakfasts in Europe, but you will need to read some reviews to separate the good from the bad.

Living in Europe, I get to visit a lot of places quite cheaply - France is a must see place, although many areas are expensive.  Denmark and Sweden are close to each other, and full of wonderful people - they're also relatively inexpensive.  Take a look around the Tivoli gardens, head over to Sweden on the train, and enjoy the scenery :)   Germany is nice - especially if you head to Berlin - most people in Berlin speak good English, but it still has a lot of the German culture / feel to it. And the UK - start in London, stop off in the Lake District, then all the way up to Scotland - it's like three totally different places, all in a few hours of train travel.

I'm in south america now, and I plan on going to Europe next year, most likely as a backpacker, I think it's going to be funny, I have friends that did in the past, they say it is hard sometimes, to look for cheap places to stay and enjoy everything, but you meet a lot of people and sometimes you even get free places to stay in, can't wait for it!
