Tours Of Spain: Exploring The Memorable Highlights
Explore Barcelona
Most travelers agree that a tour of Spain should include a trip to Barcelona. Spend some time walking along La Rambla, mile-long boulevard that is the center of life in the city. It has the feel of a street festival, with shops, vendors, street performers and restaurants. Buy a snack from the Boqueria food market or enjoy tapas along the way. And be sure to admire the beautiful architecture and buildings. Barcelona also boasts amazing architectural landmarks, such as the cathedral La Sagrada Familia and the houses on Paseo de Gracia’s Manzana del la Discordia. Sports fans can also visit the Olympic stadium and other venues from the 1992 Games.
Tour Madrid
Madrid is a popular tour spot for holidays in Spain – as well as sports, Madrid is popular for its' museums – if you are into culture, history, and art, then a visit to Madrid is essential for the Museo del Prado, and the Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, as well as many others. You can also take a stroll down the Paza Mayor and if you are lucky your visit may coincide with one of the many festivals that occur in the area throughout the year.
The Undiscovered Joys of Spain
If you head away from the main cities and tourist attractions, there is a whole country of wonder and excitement waiting for you – Pamplona, for example, is the home of the famous Running of the Bulls – if you manage to visit in July you could watch, or even take part in the event and the festival. You could also sample tapas in each city and village, and enjoy the varied tastes and flavours of each kind. Or if you're a little more adventurous (and co-ordinated!) then maybe you could take flamenco dancing lessons? There is so much to enjoy in Spain – don't waste your trip hiding out in a 'anytown' resort!
