Finding Discount Travel Mountain Biking Promotions

Mountain bikers love it when discount travel mountain biking specials come around, as a group of traveling bikers can take advantage of the offer and visit places that they would not normally be able to afford.  The promotions usually happen when there is a mountain bike event taking place in the nearby area, and the discount rates are advertised to encourage mountain bikers and other cyclists who would like to take part.

Finding Out About Discount Travel Mountain Biking Offers

If you keep track of the mountain biking circuit in areas you are interested in, you will find out about a lot of offers in the process.  Major events usually have coordinators that will keep in touch with hotels, inns, and other accommodations to give a discount travel mountain biking deal to people interested in attending.  There may also be some promotional gimmicks and offers available on a first come, first served basis.

The travel discounts given to participants of a particular race can also include discounts on food. Restaurants within the area of the upcoming event can be asked to give discounts for bikers who present an ID for participating in the race or any event. Some establishment offer discounted rates when they see that you have brought a mountain bike with you.

Other Discount Travel Mountain Biking Promotions

Some hostels give discounts for travelers who come with bikes – these are quite popular in parts of Europe where bikes are very popular.  Larger discounts may be offered to bikers who are students, or who are traveling in a large group.

Some hostels and inns that are located in areas where cyclists frequently visit – such as ones that are along popular cycling trails, will offer discounts to cyclists all year round.  Often, these discounts are made possible because of government subsidies that are aimed at promoting cycling, or attracting tourists to the area.

Discount travel mountain biking promos are often listed in national newspapers, so if you are going somewhere that has a strong cycling culture, and lots of cross country mountain biking trails, it is worth looking in their national papers to see if they have any offers that may be of use to you. Even if you have already arrived in the country and have your accommodation booked, the newspapers may be able to offer discounts for meals, or entrance to attractions that are no the route that you will be taking as part of your cycling trip.
