Wine tasting is the name given to the evaluation of wine, and actually includes more than just tasting.  While the taste is important, it is only one thing that is considered – tasters also evaluate the color, aroma, and 'feel' of the wine in the mouth.  The aim of wine tasting is to consider the quality and maturity of the wine, to determine if it should be aged, or can be drank, and to find out if the wine has any faults.
